The scope and purpose of the contract
The competition is for a contract for the delivery of a new raised roof with a mansard floor and loft and facade renovation of Mannheimen.
Mannheimen was built in 1913 as a residence for unmarried men. The building was later used as an old people's home and school of home economics before being used as an asylum reception centre for the last 20 years.
Mannheimen is one of the significant buildings on UNESCO's world heritage list for the industrial community Notodden-Rjukan.

The contract is subject to political approval and an approved general permission. It is also subject to the builder's approval of the final solution for improving the damaged plaster and concrete.
