DR is a leading public broadcaster in Denmark producing a variety of content from fiction, documentary, entertainment, sport and news on several platforms
including TV, radio, web and mobile devices. The average number of employees is 3000.
The purpose of the present tender is to provide DR with a standard / off-the-shelf Scheduling and time registration system with additional services. The delivery of off-the-shelf scheduling software shall be compatible with DR's' existing manufacturer specific (e.g. Oracle and Microsoft) software or specific file formats, and shall be eligible for DR's IT environment without significant adaptations, integrations, or the like.
Integrations to existing DR software, which the scheduling software shall integrate with in order to fit into DR's overall IT system map, shall be provided. The off-the-shelf scheduling software shall fit a typical broadcast scheduling process used for media production (TV, Radio, Web).
The detailed specification of off-the-shelf scheduling software will be stated in the tender documents.
The Scheduling and time registration system shall support DR's entire organization, allowing all relevant staff as well as freelancers to be managed in the system.
Scalability and openness to integrate to third party software is important.
Off-the-shelf software is defined as standardized software products that can be readily installed and in use in DR's IT environment at either the individual desktop PC at server level and / or infrastructure. Off-the-shelf-software is typically delivered on a storage device (CD-ROM, etc.) or via DR's download. Off-the-shelf software is used by other companies /organizations and new software features are made available to all clients using the software.
Providers will be asked to offer software covering functionalities including
(but not limited to) Workforce management (rostering), Resource management (staff, facilities and equipment), time registration, HR working rules & regulations and Rental.
The functionality shall be delivered to DR as a delivery with additional services including implementation (e.g. design, integrations, test and training), updates, upgrades, service, and support.
