Investments in technology development are currently higher than ever before. In recent years, digitalisation has
penetrated into all industries, while changing them. Artificial intelligence, virtualization, robotization, health
instrumentation, biotechnology, digital mass platforms and energy technology are good examples of technologies that
have evolved enormously.
The role of universities in R & D in the dissemination of new technologies is important, as SMEs do not always have
the resources to invest in the latest equipment and software to develop and test innovations. Maintaining the
capabilities of the Lapland University of Applied Sciences' laboratory environments will ensure support for the
development of SMEs.
The 360 Low Carbon Investments project's main objective is to develop and support regional SME product
development, new product and service development. The project will develop demonstration and pilot environments
for the development and commercialization of products and services for SMEs in Lapland.
The object of this request for tender is the procurement of work package WP2 - equipment.
