The project is part of Bypakke Grenland and includes the establishment of a pedestrian and bicycle bridge with movable leaf of the bridge A draft project was prepared in 2017 where alternative bridge types and locations were assessed. The recommended system described a two-armed bascule bridge made of concrete with composite leaves. The total bridge length is approx. 250 metres. The project has then been subject to further preparation. Ground surveys have been carried out to provide security for the chosen location and foundation solution.
