The municipality has approx. 1100 passenger cars and goods vans under 3.5 tons. Approx. half of these are electrical vehicles procured in the last four years. The expectation is that amongst the remaining half, there is a large potential for replacements with vehicles based on zero emission technology, c.f. annex 5.
In addition to the above mentioned vehicles, the municipality needs to procure utility vehicles above 3.5 tons. In cases where there is a zero emission alternative, it shall be possible to order them from the contract supplier on the contract's terms.
The procurement of new vehicles will be made as and when the municipality's entities need replacements and through new procurements.
Oslo municipality's entities are themselves responsible for defining their transport need, but the procurements shall be based on the city council's decision on zero emission where possible.
The new joint contract will be for the procurement of passenger cars and goods vans, as well as vehicle administration services.
In addition the contract shall cover vehicle administration services for the municipality's entities that want this for their vehicles. Each individual entity will define its own need for the above.
