Short description
The Norwegian Public Roads Administration, the Norwegian Construction and Property Management Department and Bane NOR invite suppliers and knowledge milieu to a dialogue on how we can reduce climate gas emissions in ground work. There are large climate gas emissions from the construction of new infrastructure and buildings. Challenging soil types, i.e. highly sensitive quick clays, several places in the country often lead to a need for comprehensive ground improvement and landslide mitigation measures in order to prevent triggering natural landslides and landslides that are triggered by development projects, particularly in quick clay areas. Landslide mitigation measures often cause major terrain interventions and climate gas emissions. In addition, vast amount of public resources are used to ensure existing buildings and infrastructure. How can we do this better?
We therefore extend an invitation to a first market meeting on 26.11.2018, at which we will present our challenge and get information from both the supplier market and the R&D environment. We encourage a dialogue between the authorities and the branch, and between the different branch actors.
