Short description

The internet is an integrated part of pupils' current work methods in many subjects. The ability to search and critically evaluate information from the Internet is also included in the teaching plan and is relevant to test in exams. The divide between the internet and other types of aids for use in an exam is seen as artifical for many pupils, precisely because the ban on the internet prevents them from using what they see as relevant aids. The trial with exams with access to the internet was implemented for the first time spring 2012. The trial was continued and expanded in the following year, and in spring 2013 pupils at 35 schools could use the internet in exams in four subjects. The evaluations of these trials was positive. The trial with access to the internet in exams was expanded by more subjects and schools in 2014-2015 and the continuation and expansion shall be evaluated.

How the trial with the internet in exams was prepared, carried out and experienced by pupils, teachers and examinors shall be evaluated. An evaluation shall also be carried out as to whether there have been any changes in attitudes to the use of the internet in exams, work with source critique and experience of the internet in exams in the schools that participated in the trial from 2012 to 2015.
