The Baltic Pipe project is connecting the Norwegian gas transmission system to the Danish transmission system by a subsea pipeline in the North Sea and then connecting to the Polish transmission system by a subsea pipeline in the Baltic Sea in order to facilitate the gas supply to Poland. Following the landfall of the subsea pipeline on the West of Jutland, the following options for the route to Nybro Gas receiving terminal is in play:
— A HDD approx. 750 meters from the beach to L/V Blaabjerg, and from there 270 meters open trench through the Natura2000 area,
— A HDD from the beach and the entire 1 000 meters out, so no natura2000 area will be touched.
Energinet intends to hold initial market consultations with contractors that have relevant experience starting week 28 and onwards. The market consultations will primarily be focused on technical issues to prepare for coming tenders and to get relevant market insights.
