Stovner Videregående Skole consists of four buildings (A + new A, B, C, and D) with a total area of 11 000 m². The project comprises a new ventilation system and diverse structural works in buildings A, B and C, with an area of approximately 7000 m².
There are currently 750 students and approximately 100 employees at Stovner Videregående Skole.
The projects is mainly comprised of replacement and upgrading of the air treatment system for Stovner VGS, but structural upgrades of stairwells, walls and flooring are also included due to wear.
The school will be in operation during the building phase, and it is proposed that the works take place build for build and that teaching and administration are moved to other locations with the school.This is solved by temporary and permanent developments including computer labs 1 and 3, media library, BUK as well as other small changes.
It is assumed these works will be performed during the 2014 summer holidays,
The project is divided into two sub-projects, and includes mainly:
— New ventilation system with associated new shafts.Existing ceiling is replaced with new suspended ceiling, where touched by the new ventilation system.
— 1000 m² of lino flooring will be replaced in the corridors.
— 1000 m² of wall will be painted in the corridor. Panels on the walls will be encased with two layers of plaster.Fire retardant kick plate will be installed on the bottom of the wall. 20 doors will be replaced if required.
— A new window will also be installed in the east facade.
— The stairwells will be upgraded to the current standard according touniversal design.
— Changes in layout to adapt to current use.This applies to new classrooms with associated seminar rooms and new administration.
— New classrooms will be established within the school to better utilise the school area, as well as act as relief premises while work is in progress.
