The Norway Pakistan Partnership Initiative (NPPI) was established in 2008 as part of the support to the health related Millennium Development Goals. The aim of NPPI is to provide catalytic support towards the implementation of national, provincial and district plans to improve the maternal newborn, and child health (MNCH) of poor and socially excluded people in Pakistan. The purpose is to increase provision of and access to MNCH interventions for the poor and socially excluded in Sindh Province, as well as to raise demand and utilization for those services.
The consultancy consists of:
1) Assist the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad with strategic follow up of NPPI
2) Provide the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Islamabad and Norad with technical advice on women’s and children’s health issues in Pakistan in general, and in Sindh province in particular.
The total timeframe is set to 50 working days over the period from February till the end of December 2013. The consultant should ideally be available from 8 February 2013.
Consultant(s) must have visa to Pakistan or reside in Pakistan.
