Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place a contract for the supply of twenty helium sub-cooling heat exchanger of 25 g/s capacity and twelve helium sub-cooling heat exchanger of 7 g/s capacity. The heat exchangers shall be compact and of counter flow type with high-pressure sub-cooled helium (outlet temperature <2.2 K, pressure up to 4 bar a) in one circuit and very low pressure gaseous helium (maximum allowed pressure drop 1 mbar, ~20 mbar bar a ) in the other circuit. The sub-cooling heat-exchangers will be installed in the new cryogenic distribution lines for HL-LHC and will operate in an insulation vacuum environment.
