National Road 9 Besteland — Helle

The project comprises the construction of approx. 5 km of a new national road 9 on th stretch Besteland-Helle in Valle Municipality. The work will, amongst other things, consist of removing matter, blasting, laying pipes (culverts, longitudinal drainage and conduits), asphalt work and railing work. The project also includes the construction of a new bridge at Besteland. The bridge has a span length of approx. 20 m. Bus lay-bys are to be established at Besteland and Helle. In addition, there will be alterations to turn the current national road into a local road from Besteland to Helle, as well as the construction of several service exits, natural stone walls and the demolition of buildings. A new foot/cycle path from profile 4530-5300 is also planned. This foot/cycle path is a separate option in the contract, due to the uncertainty of financing for this. The tenderer will be notified whether or not the option will be taken up by 1 February 2021, at the latest. The project will be model-based. Form of contract is performance contracting. The contract type is unit price contract.
