The Institute of Marine Research shall procure two (2) CTD systems with a water sampling carousel that shall be used on board the new polar research vessel (TBN) ‘Kronprins Haakon’. One CTD shall have a water sampling carousel with 12 ten litre bottles, whilst the other CTD shall have a water sampling carousel with 24 ten litre bottles.

The aim of the procurement is to get hydrographical and chemical data and water samples that have satisfactory quality for scientific research cruises conducted with the Vessel. The CTDs will be used for vertical profiling when the vessel is stationary and they shall be capable of providing measurements of the highest oceanographic standard.
