Mjøsanlegget AS invites tenderers to an open tender contest for the assignment biological treatment of food waste, from the Hamar, Gjøvik, Lillehammer, Sør Østerdal and Midt Gudrandsdal regions. The food waste is sorted by households and businesses. The food waste includes some nappies, paper bags and plastic packaging. Service providers must have vehicles for transporting the waste and must treat the waste in accordance with the applicable requirements and legislation. The annual amount is estimated to be approx. 5 000 tons per annum during the construction period for the new Mjøsanlegget AS. The annual amount can vary according to how the start up period functions in the new Mjøsanlegget.

Agreements can be made to collect parts of the volume directly from SØIR IKS in Elverum, Hias IKS in Hamar or GLT Avfall IKS in Gjøvik. Service providers must provide a proper and binding description of how the waste will be treated throughout the contract period.
