A general quality evaluation system for trade and vocational training shall function as a tool for national education authorities, school owners, schools and entities for the evaluation and analysis of the state of the training. The system must cover all training, both in school and in companies. The Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training is working to develop such a national quality evaluation system for trade and vocational training. In order to ensure sufficient knowledge and to ensure that the measurements and indicators which shall be used in the quality evaluation system are founded on knowledge, a research and review work is planned with a limit of 4 000 000–6 000 000 NOK per annum for a 4 year period. It will be possible to apply for parts of the assignment.
