The Norwegian Environment Agency will establish a dynamic purchasing system (DPS) for procurements of mapping services in accordance with the Nature in Norway system (NiN). At first this involves a terrestrial mapping. In time, the scheme can also include limnic mapping. We request that any new tenderers register their interest in the contest through the following Doffin link: https://doffin.no/Notice/Details/2020-390822 The DPS contract includes assignments for mapping of ecosystems in Norway in given geographical areas, as well as a limited registration of species in each ecosystem locality. The purpose of the assignment is to obtain ecosystem data by field mapping in accordance with the Norwegian Environment Agency's instructions for mapping of ecosystem types (annex A) and to determine the ecological quality in the mapped locations. The mapping must be carried out in accordance with the Norwegian Environment Agency's instructions for mapping ecosystems. There can be annual updates to the instructions. The instructions describe mapping ecosystems in accordance with NiN as the mapping is to be carried out in assignments for the Norwegian Environment Agency. The instructions describe the ecosystems that are to be mapped and they describe how to determine the locality quality. The Norwegian Environment Agency's instructions supplement the current versions of the Species Databank's guidelines for mapping nature variations in accordance with NiN. The recordings will be used as a knowledge base for area management, and will be published by the Norwegian Environment Agency. The Norwegian Environment Agency's professional system for managing NiN data, (annexes B and C) will be used in the mapping.
