The Strategy for International Branding of the Nordic Region was developed in response to an explicit request from the Nordic Prime Ministers and the Nordic Ministers for Co-operation in 2015. The aim was, and still is, to showcase the Nordic region globally, and thereby increase the competitiveness and international influence of the Nordic countries. The branding project, named The Nordics set out to brand Aaland, Denmark, Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, and Sweden as one entity with a common story.
After collecting Traces of North for a couple of years, the Nordics is now ready to finalise this part of the branding project. However, as quality stories we want to re-activate them one last time. This is where the purpose of this tender comes in - we want to activate the stories through two tangible assets, i.e., a coffee table book and a print-on-demand exhibition. Both assets will be used by the Nordic embassies and other relevant international stakeholders when they are doing joint Nordic branding initiatives internationally.
The tender seeks to find a producer who, in close collaboration with the Nordic Council of Ministers’ communications unit, can provide a creative concept with the following components: A strong creative concept for a coffee table book, containing existing and possibly new Traces of North.
