OpenAm is an authentication system that SPK has used since 2010. Open Am includes the following modules: — Authentication Module Internal — Federation Module Exernal — Authorization Module Internal. In 2010, SPK signed a 5 year contract with ForgeRock for a licence for OpenAm, with the accompanying service and support. This contract expired in 2015, with an option for an extension for 1 year at a time. The contract has been extended until 31.12.2017. ForgeRock has offered SPK a further extension of the contract on almost identical terms for the period 1.1.2018 to 31.12.2020. SPK would like to enter into a contract with ForgeRock for 3 years service and support for OpenAm. ForgeRock manages and administers the development of ForgeRock and has unique competence in support for the system. They have expertise and unique access to error recovery and updates, which are important for SPK being able to maintain a good system. The competence that ForgeRock offers is not generally available and they have expertise as they themselves have developed OpenAm.’. Forgerock manages the development of Open Am and has a monopoly on the publication of updates and error recovery, which we can only receive through a licence contract.
