Steinkjer, Snåsa and Inderøy municipalities currently collaborate on ICT and digitisation through the Inn-Trøndelag collaboration. Levanger and Verdal currently have ICT collaboration through the Innherred municipal collaboration.
Following an initial study carried out by the IT leaders in the two collaborations, the municipal councils in the 5 municipalities have decided to proceed with a further study with a focus on merging the two ICT units.
