Parts of the tender documentation for inquiry: Helse Bergen shall enter into agreement for the purchase of an x-ray machine with CR scanner for the Pathology Department. The x-ray machine shall be used for:
— -Control of the decalcification process for bone preparations, where the objective is to monitor the process for more effective and optimal decalcification. Imaging of bone preparations for detecting section extractions.
— -Fetus investigations for skeletal deformities.
— -Investigations of breast preparations for detection of micro calcifications and marking tape before further histological investigation of the preparation. It is important that the x-ray machine supports DICOM Modality Worklist due to the necessary information exchange between the Pathology Department and the Radiology Department, particularly for foetus investigations.
