The Sanitation Department sent an enquiry/market survey 4.5.2017 on a service contract/repair contract for refuse collection vehicles to lorry dealers with competence in lorries with biogas engines, with a deadline 8.5.2017. Two suppliers provided feedback. The feedback was that they were only interested in a contract for servicing their own makes. This was because it was too demanding to give a satisfactory tender for vehicle makes that they did not have expertise in, so they did not want to submit a tender for this. The Sanitation Department also held a procurement for garage services in 2015/2016, which, after 3 unsuccessful attempts, was directly negotiated with garages and contracts were signed with two suppliers for different makes. The responses from the different garages as to why they were not willing to enter into contracts for other makes were that they cannot give guarantees for the price or time consumption when they depend on parts deliveries from dealers and that they do not have the necessary expertise in other vehicle makes. The Sanitation Department believes that, based on this, the procurement can only be made at the dealer garage Bertel O Steen for Mercedes refuse collection vehicles and Norske Scania for Scania refuse collection vehicles.
