Linux cluster High Performance Computer system to be used for floating-point intensive numerical simu-lations using the researchers’ own developed computer codes. Tenderers are expected to offer the fast-est possible processors and systems for such applications, combined with Infiniband interconnect and Ethernet network. The systems should have a compact form factor and a simple design targeted at scale-out computing. Hardware management and redundancy should be kept at a minimum. The system must be interoperable with a pre-existing Linux cluster named Niflheim.
The total contract sum is fixed at 1.2 million DKK. The contract sum comprises the Tenderer’s fixed price products and services (elements/product types/equipment/services) until the products are delivered, installed, tested and put into operation, customs, duties, and all expenses on the part of the Contractor but exclusive of VAT. Tenderers are to offer the best high performance computer system within the fixed contract sum.
The Tenderer is required to deliver the rack(s) into a server room at DTU in building 309 no later than the 8 of october 2012.
