The intention of the transport scheme is to transport Sporveien's employees to and from their closest stop to their home and place of work outside ordinary working hours for public transport. This concerns employees who have working hours at times with no public transport offer. There are many places of work in Oslo and the old Akershus (part of Viken). Sporveien's aim is to reduce this service over time, but this has had an annual value of approx. NOK 8 million in the last 4 years. Due to the pandemic in the last 2 yers, it has not been possible to have several employees in the same taxi), but the goal for Sporveien is to make the transport scheme more efficient through car sharing in the new contract period.
