During the Covid-19 pandemic, public authorities, agencies and services in the Nordic countries have faced challenges in the attempts to reach out to and disseminate important information to immigrants. To some degree, these challenges and how they have been addressed have already been documented or are in the process of being documented.
It is important for all countries to draw lessons from this experience and use it as a basis for ensuring better preparedness in case of future pandemics or other forms of crises. The Nordic countries are relatively similar. Therefore, there could be much to learn from each other with respect to communication of vital public information to immigrants.
A review of existing research/reports on this issue from the Nordic countries would be very useful for future policy making.
