Thermal manikin for thermal comfort and air distribution measurements in the laboratory and on the field.
The HVAC laboratory of the Energy Efficiency and Systems research group at Aalto University School of Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Finland, is seeking a new thermal manikin for thermal comfort and air distribution measurements in the laboratory and on the field.
The main intended use of the manikin is to assess the thermal comfort provided by the air distribution systems investigated in our laboratory test room. Furthermore, the manikin will act as a human-like object in the test configurations. Hence, it is important that the skin temperature can be adjusted and monitored accurately, at least in 20 individually controlled segments. Also, a breathing function is required for the same reason.
