SSB is doing extensive work in modernising statistics production. A workbench has been made for those who produce KOSTRA numbers. This shall be manages and further developed so that it can also be used for other statistics areas.

As part of the workbench a tool has been developed to use VTL. VTL — Validation Transformation Language — is an international language for validation and transformations where one can check statistical data and calculate derived data. The tool shall be further developed so that it can be used in multiple statistics areas.
The consultant shall operate system development, test driven development and quality control of code.
