Bane NOR Northern region shall carry out a renewal of sleepers on the Nordland Line in 2018. In accordance with the existing maintenance plan, replacement of sleepers will be performed also in the coming years. The contract includes: Sleep replacement, train transport and laying of crushed stone, track adjustment and packing, neutralisation and technical signal works. In 2018, it is planned to replace sleepers on a total of 16.5 kilometres of track. In accordance with the current maintenance plan, it is planned to replace sleepers on a total of 71.5 kilometres of track from 2019-2021.
