University of Copenhagen intends to buy two LC-MS instruments from Bruker Daltonics (one EVOQ triple quadrupole and one Compact q-TOF) for targeted and untargeted analysis of low molecular weight compounds primarily from plants. The combination of the two instruments will allow for 1) robust and reliable quantification of compounds of interest in high-throughput settings, 2) discovery of novel pathway intermediates and 3) metabolomics studies including data mining by PCA. The equipment will be used for training and teaching purposes in an environment of several users with large variety of experience.
