The contract work consists of engineering and construction of the highway section E 18 Arendal — Tvedestrand.
E18 Tvedestrand — Arendal runs from Rømyr in Tvedestrand to Harebakken in Arendal. The route is approximately 23 km, and will be a four-lane highway:
— From Rømyr (the Føyheia tunnel) to the new crossing at Longum syd ( Longum south), ca. 17.5 km, the highway is being built with a 20 m width of the road, standard class H8.
— From Longum syd to Harebakken (the Torsbuåsen tunnel), ca. 3.8 km, the highway is being built with 23 m road width, standard grade H9.
— Harebakken approximately 200 m adaptation to the existing highway.
The compensation scheme will mainly be based on lump sum, some elements of reimbursable/quantity based compensation may occur. Further details concerning the compensation mechanism will be determined in the tender documents.
