The contract's extent will vary from year to year and it includes maintenance, renovation and repair work in the Norwegian Veterinary Institute's premises in Oslo. The Norwegian Veterinary Institute is free to collect tenders from several tenderers for major investments or complex construction work.

The project's nature and extent:

There will be a need for constructional and technical work connected to ongoing maintenance and internal alterations of offices, laboratories, etc. The work will be carried out in areas such as: laboratories, control room, computer room and office areas. The work must always be coordinated with the entities' activities and adapted to the ongoing production. Parts of the technical work can be carried out by the Norwegian Veterinary Institute's own employees and a contract partner within specific disciplines, the construction contractor will be the coordinator for the work. Attention is drawn to the fact that the extent of the work has not been decided and must be adapted to the entity's needs. The work cannot be carried out continually. The maintenance and alteration work will include, amongst other things:

— Establishment of new walls,

— Covers on existing walls, re-covering openings,

— Masonry and plastering work,

— New floor coverings,

— Painting work,

— General maintenance,

— Extent and quantity.

Based on the contracting authority's experience, the volume of this competition is estimated to approx. 500 000 NOK per annum. The Norwegian Veterinary Institute is moving to new premises in ÅS in 2019. There will be a gradual reduction in the amount of maintenance.

Experience:

There will be a site inspection in the Norwegian Veterinary Institute's premises.
