‘The government want a requirement that no one can be on sick leave for more than 6 months by their own doctor. A limited trial is therefore being commissioned for a new medical assessment by another doctor than the patient's doctor by the end of 6 months sick leave.’
The Directorate of Labour and Welfare has, thus, been given the task of entering into a contract with a service provider who shall be responsible for:
— Assisting the contracting authority with designing the trial.
— Deciding the extent and length of the trial in cooperation with the contracting authority.
— Developing a research design that is suitable for highlighting the trial's relevant problems, as well as identifying the effects of the trial in the evaluation.
— Assessing the need for any exemption terms and the design of these in cooperation with the contracting authority.
— Evaluating the trial, including data collection and analysing effects.
— Reporting the results from the trial, including the interim and final reports.
— Having a dialogue with the contracting authority throughout the project period.
— Securing transfer of competence of the trial's results to key persons in the Directorate of Labour and Welfare.
See qualification documents for further information.
