Statsbygg requests, for project number 12497 the Viking Age Collection Bygdøy tenders for the following consultancy assignments:
Hourly based assignments - detailed regulations with an impact assessment.
The Ministry of Education and Research has given Statsbygg the task of commissioning the work for the sketch project for the expansion of and a new building for the viking age collection at Bygdøy.
In June 2013 the Government made a concept choice for the Cultural Historical Museum at the University of Oslo. The concept choice involves a split location with the Viking boats including the viking age collection at Bygdøy, the rest of the Cultural Historical museum at Tullinløkka and the magazine premises at Økern. The concept choie was make on the basis of a completed KS1 for the Cultural Historical museum and a review from an international expert group that assessed the risk of possibly moving the Viking boats and the objects.
The vision for a new viking age museun at Bygdøy is to create a globally leading centre for communication knowledge of the viking age. The project has particular national interest that Statsbygg has been asked to pay particular attention to. UiO's work with the programming and function analysis shall form the basis of the work. The regulation will go parallel with the competition with the accompanying sketch project, and it shall be adapted to the final chosen concept.
Tenderers are invited to an open tender competition for the planning consultant assignment. The assignment will include preparing a regulation plan with impact assessment including a plan programme, necessary reviews of consequences and analyses, ready for political discussion in the municipality, as well as any supplementary follow up work during the municipality's discussions up until the plan proposal is sent to the Town Council for a political decision.
Attention is drawn to the fact that the company that is awarded the assignment cannot participate in the coming competition for the design of the building (the competition form has not yet been set).
