Flytoget AS is the operator of the airport express train to Norway’s largest airport Gardermoen (OSL) outside Oslo. Flytoget AS is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Trade and Industry.
The airport express train operates on the line Drammen - Asker - Oslo - Lillestrøm - Gardermoen (OSL). The distance between Oslo city center and OSL is 50 km, and the travel time is 19 minutes.
Today Flytoget AS operates with 16 trainsets Class 71. Class 71 is a 4-car EMU, with 244 seats and a maximum speed of 210 km/h. The Class 71 fleet started operation in 1998.

The number of passengers travelling to and from the airport will grow continuously and Flytoget AS is now evaluating how to meet the passenger growth. One option can be the purchase of additional trains for operation.
This RFI is intended to give the project an overview of innovations, technical options, and products already produced, potential suppliers, technical solutions, capabilities, expected prices and lead time for delivery.
The collected information will be used to decide if a project is feasible, define technical and functional spesifications, budget and timeframe.
