Bodin Sixth Form College and Maritime Vocational College aim to expand the functionality of the existing engine room simulator with high-voltage switchgear/cell that is integrated with the existing full-mission engine simulator installations and expand the simulator classroom with a new student station. This expansion is based on the Kongsberg Digital K-Sim Engine simulator platform that is currently installed in our engine simulator system. The delivery consists of "real" high-voltage switchgear/cell with a touch screen and an instructor station for the high-voltage part and a student station for classroom teaching, in addition to software/licences. 1300000.00 Bodin Sixth Form College and Maritime Vocational College. This procurement is planned to be carried out as a direct procurement as the contracting authority believes that there are legal grounds in this procurement to not hold a tender competition, cf. the Public Procurement Regulations § 13-1 (5) cf. § 13-4 b) 3. All software has been self-designed by Kongsberg Digital for K-Sim Engine, engine room simulator. The tenderer has sole rights to source code and sole rights to commercial sale of software developed for K-Sim. Bodin Sixth Form College and Maritime Vocation College have investigated whether there are other potential suppliers. There is only one supplier in the market who delivers upgrades/expansions of Kongsberg K-Sim Engine simulators. The upgrade/expansion of the current engine room simulator delivered by Kongsberg Digital AS can only be delivered by the same supplier. The provision for signing a contract is thereby considered to be met. The notice is published in accordance with the Public Procurement Regulations § 21-5.
