Short description

Oslo kommune needs several mini-recycling stations to have satisfactory waste handling in Oslo. A mini recycling station is a residential service which requires special adapted facilities, both in relation to aesthetic as well as traffic. A mini recycling station is an operated reception for smaller amount of waste for reuse and recycling, and is a service for private households.

The objective of the establishment of mini recycling stations is to provide the population access to neighbour reception systems for bulky waste, including garden waste, EE waste and hazardous waste, in such a way that loose and missorted waste in the households' waste containers does not disrupt the the quality of waste feeded in an optical sorting plant. Each households can more easily source separate the waste by an establishment of mini recycling stations in residential areas. The demography of the Ryen area has numerous detached houses and undetached houses which generate a lot of garden waste. The facility has therefore facilitated reception of waste.
