Short description

The Nordic Combat Uniform System is meant as an all service (army, navy, air force, home guard and special forces) combat uniform system for male and female soldiers. It is an inner to outer combat uniform system (from top to toe), which is functional in worldwide operations.

The system definition above does not include specialist combat uniform systems and ballistic protection.

The purpose of a procurement would be to, amongst others, strive for an:

— Improved combat endurance;

— Improved protection from environmental and other indirect treats;

— Improved modularity and flexibility;

— Reduced overall volume and weight for the Nordic soldiers.

The Nordic Combat Uniform System starts with clothing next to the skin and ends at the outermost part providing a shell cover. The different parts are designed so that they in conjunction or standalone contribute to the soldiers' ability to solve the tasks at hand and withstand the demands, threats and hazards that the soldiers are exposed to.
