The Center for Biosustainability, DTU, will purchase a robotic system for high throughput molecular biology work.
1. The system should be able to carry out protocols as:
2. PCR setup.
3. colony PCR setup.
4. plasmid isolation.
5. DNA fragments isolation from gel or solution.
6. USER cloning setup.
7. E. coli transformation by heat shock.
8. Yeast transformation by heat shock.
9. RNA synthesis.
10. Elecrotroporation 96-well format.
11. Colony size monitoring over time.
The system must be flexible and upgradable to accommodate new modules and applications in case the need should arise.
