Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place a contract for the supply of 14,600 PCBs and PCB assembly of Very Front End (VFE) electronic cards for the CMS ECAL Barrel (EB) calorimeter upgrade for HL-LHC. The PCBs shall be of size 114.0 mm x 90.3 mm, thickness of 1.6 mm, with 8 layers, PTH vias, using halogen free materials and copper thickness of 35 um. Impedance control, using weave compensation, will be required on up to 4 layers for both single ended (50 ohm) and differential (100 ohm) traces. The assembly shall include test of double-sided PCB with 8 layers, with half the layers impedance controlled and the remainder power/ground layers and a wide mix of components on the modules. Deliveries are expected over a duration of 12 months from the date of Contract notification in batches of 500 units.
