Short description

The Norwegian Public Roads Administration would like to have automatic interpretation of pictures from bridge constructions in inspection routines. The project is a further development of the use of drones for bridge inspections in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. It must be possible to transport the obtained data into software with artificial intelligence in order to uncover and maintain inspections of damage on the various constructions. The aim is to map the options with drone inspections and the picture processing software so that framework agreements can be signed at a later date with tenderers of such services and these services are used in our daily activities for bridge management. Software is being developed that can automatically analyse damage on constructions. There are already a number of suppliers with prototypes of such software, and the development is happening very fast. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration will obtain the data itself, but all the data will be processed in the procured software that can 'keep an eye on' damages on our various constructions. The project is a further development of the use of drones for bridge inspections in the Norwegian Public Roads Administration. It must be possible to transport the obtained data into software with artificial intelligence in order to uncover and maintain inspections of damage on the various constructions. Further work in the innovation project will be to obtain further experience with drone inspections in the field, as well as testing and further development of available software, so that this is tailored to the Norwegian Public Roads Administration's needs and can make our work more efficient. The project would like to have contact with suppliers that believe they have or can develop software that, by machine learning, can, in time, interpret drone pictures and thus identify any damage to bridge constructions. We would like suppliers to present their systems for us on teams in autumn 2021 and spring 2022. Interested companies can contact us via email.
