Short description

Samferdselsdepartementet (SD) (the Ministry of Transport) has named an Expert Committee that will evaluate and provide advice concerning measures for handling of the U-864 submarine wreck, the mercury load and the mercury contaminated seabed around the wreck. The U-864 Expert Committee (hereafter the committee) extends an invitation to potential supplier who can offer technology that can be used to collect new information about the mercury and mercury contamination (in and outside of the wreck) and the condition of the wreck and cargo. The committee is considered acquiring important information by carrying out surveys of the wreck and the surrounding seabed. This market dialogue will be carried out in order to acquire information about: — available technology and solution that can meet the needs outlined in Appendix 1, and experience with these, — appropriate plan for implementation of surveys (equipment need, organisation, timeline, content), — costs connected to the surveys. The market dialogue includes input from the suppliers through a note with comments and proposals to solutions, and the consequent one-to-one meetings with the suppliers who have delivered input notes. This work may affect what is requested in a later possible procurement of surveys of the U-86r wreck. Possible announcement of the contest will come after the dialogue.
