Danish Defense and Logistic Organization (DALO) is putting the acquisition of approximately 5 — 10 Highly Mobile Light Armoured Back Hoe (HM LA BH), spare parts, repairs and training services up for tender. The HM LA BH will be used for road clearance and repairs of roads during mobile operations, in Denmark and in INTOPS. Furthermore, HM LA BH will used for establishment fortified positions and camps. The HM LA BH will therefore operate together with other armoured vehicles, in a mobile combat environment.
The scope of suppy includes, but not limited to the following items (in non-prioritized order):
— Delivery of HM LA BH
— Initial spare parts package
— Training of personnel
— Documentation
— Repair services
By HM LA BH, DALO understands a back hoe which is capable of, but not limited to the following items (in non-prioritized order):
— A HM LA BH which can drive with a minimum speed of 60 KM/H on tracked road.
— A HM LA BH which out of tracked road can pass a medium girder bridge (MGB).
— A HM LA BH with ballistic, fragments and mine protection level according to the relevant NATO STANAG of 2 and 2a/2b.
— Digging ability with a front shovel.
— Digging ability with a shovel on the back hoe.
— Operational radius of 600 km.
— The maximum weight approximately 18 tons with a 10 tons axle load.
— Should be able to be transported by railroad, ship, airplane and truck.
— The HM LA BH should be fitted with run-flat tires.
The HM LA BH should interface with auxillary equipment such as:
— Earth drill equipment
— Hydraulic hammer equipment.
