This announcement concerns monitoring of large Norwegian lakes. The project is a part of the surveillance monitoring carried out in accordance with the Water Framework Directive in Norway. The programme includes monitoring of water chemistry, phytoplankton, zooplankton and macrophytes in a selection of large Norwegian lakes. The aim of the program is to classify ecological status according to the classification system related to Water Framework Directive in a selection of the largest Norwegian lakes.
