The Danish Defence
Acquisition and Logistics Organization (DALO) plans to put out a tender for the
design and acquisition of:
• 3 All Weather
Rescue Boats for the Danish Coastal Rescue Service
The Rescue Boats will mainly be used for search and rescue (SAR) operations at
sea and towing of vessels in distress. The Rescue Boats must be capable of
operations in all kinds of weather, faced alongside the coastal area of
Jutland, and be build according to Danish Maritime Authority (DMA), Technical
Regulation no. 2 of March 10th 2003 and to rules of a recognized classification
society. The Rescue Boats must be self righting even with damaged compartments
and have the build strength to be able to cope with even the most severe
weather conditions.
Dimensions: 23-24 meters
Width: approx. 7 meters
Speed: minimum 20 knots
(Sea State 5)

25 knots (Sea State 1)
Crew: 4 persons (and 12 passengers)
The main priority is providing a safe working platform for the rescue crew
onboard the Rescue Boat while at the same time not compromising the Rescue
Boats capabilities at sea.
DALO is looking
for information on how to structure a possible future tender. The purpose of
this request for
information is to
understand how the best possible tender can be arranged both for DALO and the
suppliers according to
the EC tender
regulation.
