Norsk Polarinstitutt (NP) shall, in the spring, summer and autumn seasons in the period 2017-2020, use a helicopter for NP's expeditions (the Svalbard expedition) on the island group of Svalbard and in the surrounding sea areas. The helicopter will mainly be used for transporting personnel and material, as well as for immobilising and marking polar bears and flights with instruments for research.
The contract will be valid for the period March-September in each of the years (Further details are in the requirement specifications).
The helicopter and its crew are to be exclusively available for NP during the contract periods.
The helicopter will operate in the entire Svalbard area, both over land and the sea areas in ice covered areas.
A contract shall be signed that shall apply from 1.1.207 for 3 years, with an option for a further extension for 1+1 year.
