Dedicated confocal FLIM research microscope for single molecule imaging, fluorescence lifetime imaging (FLIM), fluorescence and fluorescence lifetime (cross-) correlation spectroscopy (FCS and FLCS), lifetime-based Förster resonance energy transfer (FRET-FLIM), and photon counting. This instrument will be used to measure fluorescence dynamics at the subcellular, cellular and tissue level. It is a major investment for the Danish Center of Excellence DynaMo (www.dynamo.ku.dk) and will here be particularly relevant for measurement of FRET interactions between FP-tagged proteins and of metabolite fluctuations using FRET-based nanosensors.
