The University wants to buy a Renishaw inVia Reflex Spectrometer system because the university has an older version of the Renishaw spectrometer and the library of results from the older system must be compatible with the results to be obtained with the new system. Furthermore the university needs the system to be compatible with the older system so that the university can switch components between the two systems.
