The overall objective for this tender is to acquire a new large format vision switcher suitable for use in RK1, NRK’s production facility bound for Studio 1 - located at Marienlyst in Oslo.
RK1 is planned to be NRK’s largest multi-camera HD production room. The facility will be installed during spring/early summer 2012, and is planned to be more flexible than earlier installations. By flexible we mean the ability to be connected against different studios and also the ability to cope with a wide range of productions. The changeover time from one production to another is essential. Equipment that includes “recall capabilities” will therefore be emphasized.
RK1 will act as a main production control for NRK’s London Summer Olympics production in July/August 2012. Further challenges for RK1 will be to host NRK’s largest entertainment productions in Studio 1 og 2 at Marienlyst.
Necessary user training, maintenance training, software upgrades, support and spare parts (list) should be a part of the tender. This Tender also includes an option for NRK to acquire a second switcher within 24 months after signing of the contract. Tender documents are only available in English.
