Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place several contracts for the supply of a total of 11 km of High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) REBCO tape for the high field magnet program. The tapes shall have a minimum unit length of 100 m, a thickness of about 0.1 mm and widths of 2 mm, 4 mm and 12 mm respectively. The tapes shall incorporate on both sides at least 40 micrometers of copper stabilizer. The substrate thickness shall be at least 40 micrometers. The target engineering current density (non-copper) shall be of at least 1500 A/mm2 at 4.2 K and 20 T (with any orientation of the magnetic field) and 700 A/mm2 (non-copper) at 20 K and 20 T (with any orientation of the magnetic field). Tinning of the tape surface will be an option.
