Trumpas pirkimo aprašymas CERN intends to place a Contract for the provision of French and English language training and language assessment at CERN (the “Service”), as defined in this Technical Description and in accordance with the criteria defined in the Qualification Questionnaire. English and French are CERN’s official working languages. Knowledge of each of these languages is included in CERN’s Competency Model (CCM) and is further split into four sub-domains: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
The six levels of the Common European Framework for Reference2 (CEFR A1 to C2) are used as a reference throughout CERN’s language training programme.
CERN’s language guidelines aim to ensure that every member of CERN's personnel:
• Has the English and French language competencies at the level required by their functions;
• Has at least a minimum level (corresponding to A1) in both official languages to allow a successful integration in the Organisation as well as in the local area.
Other personnel working on the CERN site as well as partners of CERN Members of Personnel shall have access to the language courses to allow their integration in CERN and in the local area.
The volume of service delivery represents approximately 850 learners and placement tests per year equivalent to approximately 4500 classroom hours per year.
