Sporveien’s ‘Tekniske Regelverk‘ specifies that personnel partaking in repair work or maintenance on Sporveien’s signaling and safety system needs a ‘fagbrev’ as ‘signalmontør’.
It has been proven challenging to recruit and holding on to the necessary number of personnel with this expertise. Today’s education is mostly centered around railway systems, and not specifically Sporveien’s Metro system/Metro expertise. This, in turn, leads to a solution where already educated ‘signalmontør’ have to go through an extensive on-the-job training in order to be allowed to maintain or repair the signaling and safety system.
Sporveien wishes, therefore, to establish a competence program tailor made for the Metro signaling and safety systems.
